How BPE Hajj handles your data

The BPE Hajj app is operated by the Bureau of Pilgrimage and Endowment under the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (BPE-NCMF).

The app exists for a single purpose: to register and manage Hajj pilgrim applications for the Philippines.

It is used by Filipino Muslim pilgrims and the accredited sheikhs who lead them. The app does not process payments or serve any purpose beyond Hajj pilgrim registration and management.

• Your mobile number and email — for sign-in, verification, and reminders about your application.
• Your passport bio page details — name, date of birth, sex, passport number, expiry. We use this to verify eligibility and prefill your registration.
• Your address — region, province, city, barangay, and street, used for HRPC verification visits.
• Your tribe (Maguindanaon, Maranao, etc.) and chosen sheikh — to route your application to the right jama'ah.
• Application status and history — so you and your assigned sheikh can track where your registration stands.

We use this information to process your Hajj registration, communicate with you about your application, and coordinate with your sheikh, HRPC, and BPE staff. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

• You, through the app or /status lookup.
• Your assigned sheikh, for jama'ah management.
• BPE and HRPC staff, for verification and clearance.
• Your travel agency, once you accept their assignment.

We don't share your data with anyone outside this list unless required by Philippine law.

We keep your registration records as long as you have an active or recent Hajj application. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time from inside the app (More → Delete Account) or by emailing us at the address below.

We use the camera and photo library only to scan your passport bio page. The image is sent once to our server for text extraction and is not stored after extraction completes.

The Hajj registration flow is intended for adult applicants. Minors are registered as dependents of an adult mahram.

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top.
